Ninja-kitten.com went P!NK for October :) (and my vox)
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Being an Independent Sales Representative for AVON, I see a TON of Breast Cancer Awareness items. I'm going to be showcasing a few of them around on my website, as well as on my AVON site once (http://avon.ninja-kitten.com) I get it opened up (where I'll be reviewing different avon products. :) )
I want you guys to take a look at this, and please remember to check your boobies at LEAST once a month or every other month. We have to take care of our selves, ladies!
How much money actually goes to the cause?
Total Avon Foundation revenue in 2006 was $69.9 million. Expenditures, including grants for breast cancer, domestic violence and other programs, exceeded $73.7 million. Of total expenditures for the year:
- 79.5% was directed to mission programs and services, including grants, gifts and awards to beneficiary organizations (this is what is commonly referred to as “net return” to the cause)
- 3% covered management and general activities
- 17.5% covered fundraising expenses
These results exceed philanthropic fundraising guidelines.
This makes me incredibly proud to be an AVON rep during this time period. I am personally buying this beautiful bracelet and probably a few other things.

Comments
Love the bracelet, but I very seldom dress up enough to need any jewelry. The only thing I can wear to work is small post earrings, and that is just about the only place I go!
Hope you will soon get some relief from your headaches. My hubby sufferes from chronic pain. It sure makes him crabby!
Beautiful ring! Thanks for sharing, and congratulations!
Hopefully they will find something out with my migraines soon, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They are waiting for my EEG results and are checking my thyroid right now.
Thank you for the congratulations. :)
I do have a question for you though, I've been trying to find a table runner for my coffee table. How do you typically measure them for the right length?
I like to measure them so that you still have a border of the table around the edges, sort of like the frame on a picture. Some people want them to cover the whole table. If you have a really large table, then you can just use one that covers about a third or a fourth of the table in the middle.
The bubble bath wouldn't do me any good either. I can't remember the last time I took a bath. What about shower gel?
If you check out this link it will show everything that is available for the breast cancer awareness - AVON - Breast cancer awareness - I gave a quick look through but didn't see any shower gel. I've used their Naturals bubble bath for shower gel and hand soap though since I also rarely take baths, so I assume that you could do the same with the Breast Cancer Awareness Bubble Bath.
The only thing I have heard badly about (and I hate saying this about things that I *should* be trying to sell) is the water bottle that they have. I guess the ring on the inside doesn't allow for proper flow of the water, and if you poke a hole in it, you have a possibility of the water spilling all over the dang place. :(
I'll check out your link. You can find my stuff at www.countrybydesign.etsy.com. If you don't find anything you like, just give me an idea as to colors, size, etc., and I'll see what I can do. I do mostly rag quilting, but if you would rather have appliqued or traditional quilting, I can do that, too.
Today I decorated a couple of cakes where I put the "border" inside the edge of the cake, so that the icing on the cake formed a frame around the border. I liked it, but we'll have to see if it sells.
That's a great idea for the cakes.. baking is one of my favorite things to do, but I'm not so great in the decorating department. I want to check my area for cake decorating classes or something, just to try my hand at it.
Just let me know!
It would be fun to take a cake decorating class. I just had to learn on the job.
